Get Your Skin Glowing.

Its Monday morning! whats exciting about this.. I'm sure most of us want to just stay in bed. rather then sit in a chair at a desk for 8 hrs. ughh. anyways i found this cool little article that deals with mainly skin care. enjoy i enjoyed reading it.

A glowing skin is one of the most visible features of your personality and is also considered one of the signs of good health. In many studies of romantic and sexual attraction, radiant skin is cited as a parameter. So it’s no wonder that a good complexion is something that most women desire.

Before I get into the foods that can make your skin glow, here are some reasons why you may have dull or bad skin.

If you scrimp on sleep, you are likely to end up with bags under your eyes, dark circles and early wrinkling.

Lack of sun exposure and too much sun exposure can both spoil your skin. The sun’s rays provide vitamin D and therefore you need some amount of it for the health of your skin. However, you should not expose your face to the sun. Cover your face with a high SPF cream, and expose your limbs to the sun instead. Even so, make sure none of your skin is exposed during peak sunlight hours. Enjoy the sun only in the early morning.

Alcohol and cigarettes are the top skin spoilers as they cause dehydration. In addition, smoking results in the shrinking of capillary blood supply to the delicate areas of facial skin, leading to early wrinkling.

Over-consumption of tea or coffee is likely to cause acidity and dehydration, leading to early wrinkling. However, two cups a day of either beverage should be all right.

If you use too much make-up, foundation and so on, and do not remove it diligently before going to sleep, the skin does not get time to breathe. Clogged pores are likely to lead to skin problems.

Anxiety, plus a genetic tendency towards hyper-allergic states leads to skin allergies.

The use of strong creams and fragrances during periods of high anxiety or during the pollen and windy season can cause skin problems. Now that you know what can spoil your complexion, here’s what can make it glow.

Apples are good because of their vitamins and pectin. Pectin helps absorb unhealthy oils and toxins from the skin and also helps the liver to neutralise skin-damaging toxins.

Fruits like pomegranates, oranges, lemons and keenu have vitamin C that helps to fight the ageing of your skin. Vitamin C builds the elasticity that is essential for soft, supple, non-wrinkled skin.

Broccoli, spinach, green leafy vegetables and salads provide several vitamins including precursors for vitamin A, which is essential for skin repair.

Carrots, tomatoes and red vegetables – the pigment lycopene found in these vegetables is essential for skin repair.

Almonds, sunflower seeds and flaxseeds contain vital oils required for nourishing the skin. A juice that contains tomato, carrot, ginger, mint and lauki combines several vital vitamins and also has antioxidants that fight skin-damaging free radicals.

Men 'need better-fitting condoms'

howdy!
hahaha wow i cannot believe i actually said that. well anyways. i hope everyone has a better weekend then i did. Valentines day weekend should have been fun for everyone . unfortunately mine wasn't haha but this blog isn't about my life. its about the exciting world of vitamins! wooo.
anyways found this interesting article on condoms.. and how one size doesn't fit all.. well duh!!
haha read on its pretty interesting for a Tuesday morning.

Men 'need better-fitting condoms'

One size does not fit all, say experts
Badly fitted condoms do not just reduce the pleasure of sex for men and women - they raise the risks of infection and pregnancy, researchers say.

Men are twice as likely to take the condom off midway through sex due to a poor fit, a poll of 436 men in Sexually Transmitted Infections journal reveals.

Ill-fitting condoms more than doubled the chances of them splitting or slipping off, a Kentucky team found.

UK experts said men should know condoms came in different shapes and sizes.

Condom use is increasing in popularity, now rivalling the Pill as a form of contraception, according to a recent poll.

However, there are concerns that couples may turn away from them if they fail to fit comfortably and correctly, and risk unsafe sex instead.

The latest study fuels these concerns.

Out of 436 men questioned by the University of Kentucky researchers, 195 reported that their last sexual encounter involved an ill-fitting condom.

Standard latex condoms should fit most people but there are many different types of condoms available in different shapes and sizes and trying different types will be important in finding the 'right one'

Simon Blake, Brook
A total of 120 of these said that this had reduced their own sexual pleasure, and 57 said it had reduced it for their partner.

In addition, 34 said they had removed the condom early, while 18 said the condom had broken during sex.

All of these problems were far less frequent among men who reported a well-fitted condom.

One solution, according to the US researchers, would be better public health efforts to make sure that men achieved the best fit.

Simon Blake, from advisory charity Brook, said that, used correctly, condoms were 98% effective and protected against both unplanned pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections.

He said: "Standard latex condoms should fit most people but there are many different types of condoms available in different shapes and sizes and trying different types will be important in finding the 'right one'."

Natika Halil, from sexual health charity FPA, said that men, and women, needed to take time to learn the skills needed to put a condom on properly.

"Confidence and the skill of putting on a condom also contributes to how well they are used.

If we are serious about people being able to use condoms consistently, then we need to listen to their needs

Gill Gordon, International HIV/AIDS Alliance
"Men come in all shapes and sizes and so do condoms. When we talk with men on the FPA helpline about condoms tearing, slipping off or being a nuisance to use, one of the main culprits is often something as simple as not using the right size."

Gill Gordon, from the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, has spent time talking to men in Africa about condom use, and says the size and fit issue must be addressed if condoms are to be used effectively to reduce the number of new HIV infections.

Unlike in Europe and the US, the variety of sizes and shapes of condoms is not available to most men - she told of some resorting to tying an oversized condom on with string, or preferring to use the female condom because regular size versions were so painful.

She said: "I think that the unwillingness of African men to use condoms has been overstated, and that many more would be willing to wear one if they were more comfortable.

"If we are serious about people being able to use condoms consistently, then we need to listen to their needs."

People do some crazy things. its weird man.. like really this is terrible if you really think about it, she was basically selling something that could have harmed someone else. and advertising it as a diet pill.. sick.

Mo. woman pleads guilty in supplements fraud

Associated Press - February 8, 2010 8:24 PM ET

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - A southwest Missouri woman has admitted taking part in a scheme to fraudulently market dietary supplements over the Internet.

The U.S. Attorney's office says 25-year-old Mai Lor of Springfield faces up to five years in prison plus a fine of up to $250,000.

Prosecutors announced Monday that Lor pleaded guilty last week to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

Lor was part-owner of a company that bought and sold dietary supplements. Prosecutors say the supplements were fraudulently advertised as preventing, treating or curing such diseases as heartburn and high cholesterol.

The government says nearly $12 million worth of the supplements were sold.

Under the plea deal, Lor agreed to forfeit any property bought with proceeds from the scheme, including several properties in Springfield, Rogersville and Pleasant Hope.

Obesity May Delay Boys' Puberty

Morning all !
well I'm in a " i don't really want to be here mood" lol so I'm going to try to keep it as short as possible. i found this article on... you guessed it, google news. its short and sweet so basically perfect lol. enjoy and hope you guys have a great weekend.

Researchers may have found yet another reason not to let boys become obese -- it could delay their puberty.

A study on U.S. girls finds childhood weight gain triggers early puberty.A study following over 400 boys shows that those who are obese are twice as likely as their normal-weight counterparts not to have started puberty by the age of 11 and a half. While previous studies in girls had shown the opposite phenomenon -- girls who are obese tend to hit puberty earlier than their normal-weight counterparts -- it seems obesity may cause a maturity delay in boys, a situation with unknown and possibly far-reaching effects.
